1.      Copper busbars, also known as copper bars, rectangular copper bars, etc., are mainly used in transformers, electric control cabinets and transmission lines. Their role is to collect, distribute and transmit electrical energy. With the development of the national economy, the amount of copper busbars has also increased. According to statistics, in 2006, China's total production of copper busbars exceeded 200,000 tons, and it has become one of the indispensable conductive materials in electrical equipment. At present, there are several methods for producing copper busbars in China's processing enterprises. This paper intends to compare two of the production processes for reference.

Three casting methods, product quality can meet the requirements, but there are still differences:
①The three types of ingot production have different specifications and can meet the cross-sectional area of the finished product.
② The three methods have different yields, and the upper method > horizontal continuous method > semi-continuous casting method.
③ Three ways of production costs are high and low, the upper method <horizontal continuous casting method < semi-continuous casting method.
 
4. The similarities between extrusion and CONFORM.
The same point: the extrusion method, the CONFORM method are ALL FOR DRAW BENCH.
 
5.  Differences between extrusion and CONFORM extrusion
①     Extrusion method is hot extrusion, the ingot heating temperature is 775 ° C ~ 900 ° C, CONFORM is cold extrusion. The pole does not need to be heated.
 
②     Extrusion method is mostly single or multiple extrusion, the yield is low, generally 80%, CONFORM is continuous extrusion, the yield is higher, generally 92%.
 
③     The surface of the extrusion method is more oxidized. It needs to be pickled before pulling. The CONFORM method has no oxidation color on the surface of the product. It can be pulled without pickling.
 
④     Production cost of extrusion method> Production cost of CONFORM method.
 
6. Summary:
 
1.      extrusion method, CONFORM method to produce copper busbar, both of which are mature production processes. At present, many domestic enterprises use these two methods to produce copper busbars at the same time.
 
2.     CONFORM extrusion method Due to the limitation of technological development, it is now possible to produce copper busbars with a cross-sectional area of 3000 mm2 or less and a width of 170 mm or less. Large-section, large-width copper busbars also need to be produced by extrusion.
 
3. In the copper busbar with a sectional area of 3000mm2 or less and a width of 170mm or less, it is not difficult to see from the above two production methods. The CONFORM method has great advantages, one is low production cost and the other is high yield. Third, environmental protection is non-polluting. Therefore, the production process is worth promoting.
